About the project
The Ukrainian American Archives and Museum were founded in 1958 in Hamtramck, a suburb of Detroit. The purpose of the Museum is to educate the general public about the culture, art, and history of Ukrainians, their immigration to the United States and their contributions to America. The collections include folklore, paintings, ceramics, historical documents, books and photographs.
The celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Museum was held in the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Warren, Michigan. The program featured a Ukrainian trio "Polyanytsi".
